| We traveled to Luxembourg from Germany for a quick vacation from the grind. The Sofitel (as always) was very nice. The staff are extremely helpful, pleasant, and even helped us pick a movie. :-) We also enjoyed the hotel bar at the top of the hotel. It overlooks the city and serves a decent collection of whiskeys. What more can you ask for?! |

| The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. The room was spacious and we had an amazing view of the city. Highly encourage the suites they offer - great feel at a decent price. |

| Fantastic bar, good location and impressive internal fittings. But it's the human side that lets this hotel down. Services is far from 5 star ( concierge for instance directed us to a resturant for lunch that would be open outside of the 12-2 window, which after 10 mins walk we found closed for refurb for the month.. Kinda expect concierge in 5 star hotel to know if his nearest resturant is open or not!)
Other issue was the rooms. They were too hot and you couldntn turn them down. It took me 3 days and nights too cool my room from 24.5 (or 27 as the engineers gadget showed) to 21. No good explanation given, some story about it being too cold for the a/c to work being the formal answer! Which seemed pretty lame for a hotel professi to offer 5 star comfort in the middle of Europe and the weather that entails.
Altogether my assessment is : lukewarm. In every respect. |

| The Hotel is very well located, newly built and has a stunning view from the front windows, looking on to the old city.
The bar at the last floor is very nice; the restaurant serves good quality meals, though for a 27 Eur breakfast I expect more than cold pancakes.
Free Wifi also in rooms, free minibar (which has hardly anything inside), no spa, no pool, very inconvenient car reception (only 1 car at the time and when it rains it's a disaster).
The design is very modern and not bad; but the rooms are quite small and have low ceilings. When you open your curtains you will feel happy to be there because you cannot find a better view in all of Luxembourg! For this reason rooms facing street are a must!
Io my third visit I had a room with a quite noisy ventilation system. The rooms have very nice showers, but no bathtub.
It's a very good hotel for business, I don't reccomend it for holidays with family. Up to now, it's my favourite hotel in Luxembourg; but I tried only a handful of them. |

| Très bel hotel moderne. Bonne literie et chambre assez grande, mais peu de rangements.

| The hotel has a fine shower, but rather oddly placed as a feature of the room (one could watch TV through the glass shower walls). The red and blue lights at the bottom are garish. It seems that the design is for an entertainment feature as much as anything. The rooms at the back of the hotel are welcomely quiet. There could be more coffee supplied in the room; the coffee in the room was good. |
